A man has been charged by a court in Kenya for allegedly trading in rhino horn.
Feisal Mohamed Ali is standing trial for allegedly trading two rhinoceros horns worth an estimated 8.2 million Kenyan shillings.
His arrest and trial comes nine years after he was jailed for smuggling ivory.
Ali and his co-accused were arrested in Mombasa in August 2025.
On Tuesday, September 17, 2025, they pleaded not guilty to the charge of dealing in horns of endangered wildlife species.
Ali was freed on appeal in 2018, two years into a 20-year term for ivory smuggling, over procedural flaws in the case. Police had accused him of being behind an international poaching syndicate linked to a seizure of tusks from 120 elephants.
