Ghanaian gospel artist Joe Mettle has raised concerns about the state of airplanes assigned to Ghana, describing them as subpar compared to those sent to other African countries.
Speaking from his travel experiences, the 2017 VGMA Artiste of the Year remarked, “Most of the planes that come to Ghana are not the best at all compared to the ones that go to other African countries. Why is that?”
Mettle highlighted the disparity, noting that even countries with shorter flight distances receive better aircraft. He questioned whether Ghana’s lack of insistence on quality standards contributes to the issue. “Is it because we take anything they give us and do not insist on being given better ones?” he wondered.
The singer also expressed frustration over the high ticket prices charged for these flights, despite the poor condition of the planes. He urged stakeholders to address the matter to ensure Ghanaians receive better travel experiences.
