Ghanaian Gospel artiste Joe Mettle has expressed deep sadness at the passing of his colleague, Kofi Owusu Dua Anto, affectionately known as KODA.
The ‘Ye Obua Mi’ singer described the loss as particularly difficult, given the close relationship they shared before KODA’s sudden death.
Speaking on Joy Prime’s Changes show with host Roselyn Felli, Joe Mettle said, “It was a difficult moment and still is,” as he reflected on hearing the news of KODA’s passing.
He added that despite KODA’s absence, their memories together often make him feel as though his friend is still with him
Sometimes, we’re still in denial, thinking maybe he’s still around. But once in a while, it hits you that he’s really gone,” Mettle said.
Joe Mettle believes his friend’s passing was in accordance with God’s will and is confident KODA is at peace in God’s presence.
KODA’s funeral rites are scheduled for Friday, September 20, at the KICC Dominion Center, off Spintex Road.
