Nigerian music legend Innocent “2Baba” Idibia has publicly addressed his past reputation, declaring that he is now a reformed individual who has moved past the lifestyle that once dominated headlines.
The singer made it clear that his decision to speak out was aimed at setting the record straight regarding his personal growth, rather than providing fodder for social media entertainment.
Setting the Record Straight
Maintaining his innocence against recent speculations, 2Baba stated that those who truly know his character can serve as witnesses to his transformation. He emphasized that he is focused on his “reformed self” and is no longer the person described in older tabloid narratives.
“I am a changed man,” the singer declared, specifically noting that he has stopped the behavior often referred to in local parlance as “giving women belle” (impregnating women).
Avoiding Online Drama
Despite stating that he has a lot more to say regarding his journey and the various claims made against him, the “African Queen” crooner insisted that he would not be drawn into messy online exchanges.
2Baba noted that his priority is maintaining his peace and focusing on his evolution as a man and an artist. He remains steadfast in his position that his actions moving forward will speak louder than any internet controversy.
This statement comes amid a period of heightened public interest in the singer’s private life, following several viral incidents involving his family dynamics. By declaring himself “changed,” 2Baba appears to be attempting to close the chapter on his past and redefine his public image for the future.
“I have stopped giving woman belle, I’m a changed man and I’m innocent. I have many things to say but I won’t entertain internet people.”
