I Didn’t Mean To Denigrate Nkrumah – NAPO Apologizes to Ghanaians

Dr. Matthew Opoku Prempeh, the running mate to the flagbearer of Ghana’s ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP), Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, has apologized to Ghanaians for saying since independence, no President of Ghana has been able to do more for Ghana then incumbent President Nana Akufo-Addo has done.

In a statement dated July 12, 2024, Dr. Opoku Prempeh, also known as NAPO, said it was never his intention to denigrate the late first President of Ghana, Dr. Kwame Nkrumah.

He said “I did not mean to denigrate former President, Dr. Kwame Nkrumah or any other President.”

According to him, the statement he made at his unveiling, “reflects my personal opinion about President Akufo-Addo’s impact relative to other Presidents we have had.”
