Husband of Jailed Evangelist Nana Agradaa Apologizes on Her Behalf

On Sunday, July 13, 2025, Angel Asiamah, husband of embattled evangelist Patricia Asiedua Asiamah, known as Nana Agradaa, publicly apologized on behalf of his wife during a service at Heaven Way Champion International Ministry in Accra. Nana Agradaa is currently serving a 15-year prison sentence for fraud and charlatanic advertisement.

Leading the congregation in a moment of humility, Angel Asiamah and church members knelt to offer an unqualified apology to those offended by Agradaa’s actions, words, or behavior. Speaking emotionally, he sought forgiveness from Ghanaians, specifically naming President John Dramani Mahama, Vice President Jane Naana Opoku-Agyemang, bloggers, singers, media personalities, and others who may have clashed with her, acknowledging that these confrontations may have contributed to her conviction.

“God has already forgiven her — that’s why she’s even alive,” Asiamah told the congregation. “So I plead with the nation, especially those whose toes she stepped on, to find a place in their hearts and forgive her.”

This marks the second public response from the church leadership since Agradaa’s sentencing. While public opinion remains divided, Angel Asiamah’s gesture appears aimed at fostering healing and reconciliation.
