Champz (Boluwatife Balogun), the 14-year-old son of global Afrobeats superstar Wizkid, has made Nigerian music history by becoming the youngest artist ever to reach number one on the Apple Music Nigeria Top Albums chart.
His debut EP, Champion’s Arrival, released on November 11, 2025, quickly shot to the top position, displacing established projects including Fola’s Catharsis and Blaqbonez’s No Excuses.
A Prophecy Fulfilled
The rapid success of the project highlights Champz’s fresh take on Afrobeats, blending youthful energy with contemporary sounds and proving that musical talent undeniably runs in the family.
