A dark cloud has fallen over Nasarawa State following the tragic death of a young woman, Hajara Umar Lamus, who lost her life in a car accident just one week before her scheduled wedding.
The accident occurred on Saturday, December 20, 2025, while Hajara was traveling from Lafia to Wamba in Nasarawa State.

Hajara was in the final stages of preparation for her marriage to her fiancé, Mahi Murtala Maigoro. The wedding ceremony was officially set to take place on Saturday, December 27, 2025.
