Raj Kapoor, an executive producer behind the 2025 Grammys, has finally spoken out about Kanye West’s wife, Bianca Censori, arriving at the awards show in a see-through nude mesh dress. The Australian-born architect, 30, shocked onlookers with her daring outfit, which was worn without underwear.
According to Kapoor, guests are required to follow an “artistic black-tie” dress code, but “that’s up for interpretation.” He noted that performers have to adhere to stricter standards and practices, but attendees and nominees are subject to the Recording Academy’s guidelines.
Censori’s outfit may have violated CBS Program Practices rules, which state that “buttocks and female breasts” should be “adequately covered.” The guidelines also advise against sheer or see-through clothing that could expose female breast nipples and require the genital region to be covered to prevent visible bare skin exposure.
Reports suggest that Bianca was “talked into” wearing the nude dress by Kanye, who allegedly insisted she wear the look. A source close to the couple revealed that Bianca would have preferred to wear a more conventional dress and would have enjoyed the evening more.
In the aftermath of the controversy, Kanye has launched his first womenswear collection, featuring his wife’s sheer bodysuit as the hero product. The star shared an image of Bianca modeling the look on Instagram, after she wore it to the Grammys afterparty.
