A massive appeal for financial assistance has been launched by top gospel singers, including Yinka Alaseyori, Olabest, Alayo Melody, and Lanre Alewilese, on behalf of their colleague, Bunmi Akinnaanu, widely known as Omije Ojumi.
The calls for help come weeks after Omije Ojumi visited G.F David Ministries in Ibadan, Oyo State, seeking healing. The singer is reportedly struggling with a severe leg ailment that has left her financially drained.
Cross-Genre Solidarity
Lanre Alewilese, in a heartfelt video shared on his Instagram page, urged the public and fellow artists from all genres to assist urgently, stressing the need to put aside religious and musical differences to save a life.
“God, in your mercy, please heal her. I’m calling on both young and old, my brothers and sisters in the gospel industry, including Juju and Fuji musicians—let’s put religion aside and save the life of sister Bunmi Akinanu, Omije Ojumi,” Alewilese pleaded.
He shared the singer’s account details and expressed shock at the rapid decline in her condition, having previously thought her healing was progressing.
“When my colleague, Alayo, called me yesterday about her condition, I was shocked. I thought God had taken control of her healing, but I didn’t know she was being moved from one hospital to another,” he added.
Other entertainers who have joined the campaign to solicit support include Yinka Alaseyori, Olabest, Alayo Melody, Akinade Olubukola, and Nollywood actress Foluke Daramola.
While the exact nature of her medical condition remains officially undisclosed, the public appeal has stirred widespread concern and sympathy among fans and the public, who are responding to the urgent need for financial support.
