Although the grand opening is still weeks away, the club has already begun operations. Club Cavo hosted its first major event on New Year’s Eve, with Gogo Skhotheni herself headlining the show. The move into nightlife appears to be a natural progression for the music-loving DJ, who shared her excitement about the venture:
> “Maboneng has a certain vibe that people love, and it was just the most appealing place for me to socialise with my fans. I love music; being a DJ, it only made sense for me to get into the clubbing scene.”

Reports confirm that Gogo Skhotheni has partnered with two business associates for this venture. The collaboration aims to establish Club Cavo as a hub for entertainment in Johannesburg’s vibrant Maboneng district.

Gogo Skhotheni joins a growing list of South African celebrities cashing in on the lucrative nightlife industry. Notable names include Kabza De Small, who launched Piano Hub in Soweto in 2024, and former Bafana Bafana star Dino Ndlovu, who owns several successful nightclubs across the country.

Despite her business success, Gogo Skhotheni has faced personal challenges, including a public feud with Sangoma Gogo Maweni. However, she remains unfazed, stating:
