GIPC Secures Nearly $100 Million in Foreign Direct Investment Under GETP

The Ghana Investment Promotion Centre has successfully secured almost $100 million in foreign direct investment commitments since 2019 under the Ghana Economic Transformation Project.

The flagship initiative, implemented by the Ministry of Finance with funding from the World Bank, aims to promote private sector-led growth, economic diversification, and job creation.

 

Boosting Investment Promotion

 

To enhance its investment promotion efforts, GIPC has received support from GETP, including the procurement of two Toyota pick-ups to facilitate operations in the Ashanti and Northern Regions. According to Gabriel Benaiah Kofi Dake, Senior Operations Officer for GETP, “This gesture symbolizes the project’s commitment to deepening institutional capacity and decentralizing investment promotion.”

GIPC has also launched a new 24-hour premium service to offer round-the-clock support to investors. This service aims to ensure timely assistance and continuous engagement, further solidifying Ghana’s appeal as an investment destination.
