The Bank of Ghana (BoG) says Ghana’s gold reserves as of June 2025 stood at 32.99.
BoG made this known in its latest report.
The latest figure represents a marginal increase from 31.37 tonnes in April and 32.16 tonnes in May this year.
Also, the June figure represents a nearly fourfold increase from the 8.78 tonnes Ghana recorded in May 2023.
As one of the leading gold producers in Africa, Ghana has in recent time stepped up efforts to properly formalize its small-scale mining sector in order to ensure more gold produced in the country is retained for national development.
