Ghanaian TikToker Arrested For Allegedly Shooting His Girlfriend To Death

A Ghanaian TikToker, Hayford Boateng, popularly known as GH Kobby, has been arrested for allegedly shooting his girlfriend to death.

GH Kobby is said to have shot his girlfriend Philippa Yaa Baby otherwise known as Shuga on Tuesday, June 10, 2025.

The incident reportedly happened in Seker, a suburb of Yeji in the Bono East Region of Ghana.

Reports say GH Kobby and two of his friends named Kojo Emmanuel and Michael Kabutey were taken into police custody shorting after the shooting incident.

The shooting, reports say, was accidental.

The ‘murderous’ TikToker, GH Kobby is said to have retrieved a firearm from his car to fire “celebratory warning shots” into the air.

However, in the process, the gun reportedly discharged and hit Philippa in her left arm.

GH Kobby and his friends are said to have rushed Philippa to the St. Mathias Hospital in Yeji. But she reportedly died shortly after arriving at the hospital due to the severity of her injuries.

Meanwhile, reports say police retrieved a gun from GH Kobby’s car and have since began a full-scale investigation into the killing.

Philippa’s has reportedly been sent to a mortuary for further examination.
