The funeral of the late iconic Ghanaian highlife musician, Daddy Lumba, is taking place today after months of family dispute.
Mourners from all walks attending the funeral which is taking place at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium in Kumasi.
The funeral is taking place after a ruling on Friday, December 12, 2025 by the Accra High Court, clearing the way for Lumba to be buried.
The High Court ruled on Friday that the funeral should be held after the applicants in the family dispute failed to raise Ghc 2 million required to maintain an injunction stopping the release of Lumba’s body by Transitions Funeral Home.
