Ghanaian midfielder, Thomas Partey, could leave English Premier League club, Arsenal later this month.
This is according to a report by Italian football journalist, Fabrizio Romano.
Romano reported that “Thomas Partey could leave Arsenal on a free, new deal not agreed yet.”
He says “despite several round of talks, no agreement so far as Arsenal and Partey could part ways later this month.”
ESPN also reported that the Ghana midfielder, whose contract expires in June, is not expected to re-sign with Mikel Arteta’s side.
Citing a source, ESPN reported that negotiations for a possible renewal are at a complete standstill and that Partey will leave the club on June 30.
Partey has attracted interest from other clubs, including from Turkish sides, Barcelona have also been linked according to ESPN.
Partey, age 32 joined Arsenal in 2020 from Atletico Madrid and has become a key figure in Arteta’s side as they became challengers for the title. He has played more than 160 games for the club, scoring nine goals.
