A Ghanaian golfer and his Malawian counterpart have been involved in a deadly car accident in Zimbabwe.

Zimbabwe’s Minister of Sport, Recreation, Arts and Culture, Lieutenant General (Rtd) Anselm Sanyatwe, visited the two injured golfers, Victor Kachepatsonga of Malawi and Lucky Ayiswere of Ghana, at Kensington Clinic in Harua on Tuesday, May 13, 2025.

The golfers were involved in a road accident on Sunday following the Zimbabwe Open Tournament, which tragically claimed the life of their colleague, Morton Kombai.

Kachepatsonga and Ayiswere are currently receiving treatment for their injuries, while two other individuals involved in the accident, Tonderai Masunga and Biggie Chibvuri, have since been discharged from the hospital.
