General secretary of Diplomatic Envoy Globalization, Samuel Aryeequaye, has advised young people to identify their talents, nurture them, and turn them into a money-making machine.
Speaking at this year’s youth week celebration organized by the Disciples of Christ ministries located at Waija junction, he emphasized that since time immemorial, people who identify their God given gifts, nurture them well, make it in life.
One of the major problems in Ghana is the galloping rate of unemployment among the youth. Ghana’s education system, focused on theoretical knowledge gained rather than skill-oriented, has contributed immensely to this problem, which many describe as a national security threat.

Every year in Ghana, a bunch of students graduate from universities and colleges only to become extremely frustrated. Meanwhile, they are talented in one thing or the other but failing to monetize them because in the Ghanaian society, there is a perception that formal education is the key to success.
The entrepreneur and youth empowerment advocate believes that the best way to overcome unemployment is to encourage and guide them to nurture their skills.
According to him, every individual on this earth is endowed with talent and needs to find ways to utilize it to benefit themselves and the entire society.
He admitted that many young people struggle to discover their God given talents, and also, many of them who can identify them early do not get support to nurture and turn them into a profession.
He also addressed that parents preventing their children from following their God given talents and passions has since been a major undermining factor of youth development and betterment of our society.
He therefore encouraged young Ghanaians to remain focused, consistent, identify their God given talents and passion to a money-making machine.
