The New Patriotic Party’s candidate, Solomon Kwame Asumadu secured 15,235 votes.

Liberal Party of Ghana (LPG) candidate, Owusu Patrick, trailed badly with 82 votes.

According to the Electoral Commission’s results, out of the total ballots cast, 33, 819 were valid, and 303 were rejected.

The Akwatia Constituency parliamentary by-election became necessary following the death of the Member of Parliament for the Constituency, Ernest Kumi this year.
