Creative Director and entertainment pundit Bullgod has revealed a surprising backstory about the origins of Rapperholic, the annual concert headlined by award-winning rapper Sarkodie.
Speaking on The Chat with Ekow Koomson on Channel One TV on Saturday, October 4, Bullgod disclosed that the concept for Rapperholic was conceived 13 years ago and was initially meant for Jamaican dancehall artist Vybz Kartel.
According to him, plans later changed, leading to the idea being restructured around Sarkodie — a decision that ultimately birthed one of Ghana’s biggest music brands.
“Rapperholic started as an idea 13 years ago and was initially designed for Vybz Kartel before we decided on Sarkodie,” Bullgod stated.
Since its inception, Rapperholic has become a major annual event on Ghana’s entertainment calendar, celebrating Sarkodie’s career while showcasing Ghanaian music talent.
