Mahama Naser Toure, the deceased Member of Parliament (MP) of the Ayawaso East Constituency in Accra, the capital of Ghana, will be buried today, January 5, 2026.
Member of Parliament for Ayawaso North, Yussif Jajah, announced the burial.
Mr. Toure died on Sunday, January 4, 2026 following a brief sickness.
According to Jajah, arrangements for the release of the late MP’s body were made quickly with support from President John Mahama.
He said in keeping with Islamic tradition, a Janazah prayer will be held on Monday morning at 10:00 a.m. at the Ayawaso East Constituency Office located along the Kanda Highway.
He revealed that the prayer will be led by the National Chief Imam of Ghana, adding that after the prayer session, the body of the late MP will be taken to the Madina Cemetery for burial.
