Ghana and Toyota Explore Strategic Partnership To Boost Automotive Industry

 

Ghanaian Minister for Trade, Agribusiness and Industry, Elizabeth Ofosu-Adjare, has held a high-level meeting with a delegation from Toyota Tsusho Corporation to explore new avenues of collaboration aimed at advancing Ghana’s automotive sector.

 

The meeting focused on strengthening the existing partnership between the Government of Ghana and the Japanese automobile giant, while identifying strategic initiatives to drive innovation and industrial growth.

 

Key among the discussions was the shared commitment to position Ghana as a major hub for automotive assembly and related industries within the West African sub-region. Both parties underscored the importance of job creation and technology transfer as essential pillars of the collaboration.

 

The Minister expressed optimism about the prospects of deepening ties with Toyota Tsusho and emphasized that such partnerships are critical to the country’s broader industrial transformation agenda.
