FBI Seeks Person of Interest in Charlie Kirk Shooting, Offers $100,000 Reward

The Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) has released images of a person of interest in connection with the fatal shooting of conservative activist Charlie Kirk and is offering a $100,000 reward for information leading to an arrest.

The images were shared on Thursday by the FBI’s Salt Lake City field office on X, formerly Twitter. They show an individual wearing a cap, dark sunglasses, a long-sleeved shirt, and jeans. The accompanying caption read: “We are asking for the public’s help identifying this person of interest in connection with the fatal shooting of Charlie Kirk at Utah Valley University.”

In a separate post, the FBI confirmed the reward, stating it is for “information that can lead to the arrest of the individual(s) responsible for the murder of Charlie Kirk on September 10, 2025, at Utah Valley University in Orem, Utah.” The agency also appealed to anyone with photos or videos from the event to come forward.

The 31-year-old activist and co-founder of a large conservative youth movement was shot while speaking under a tent to a large audience. Former Utah Congressman Jason Chaffetz, who was in attendance, told Fox News that the shot was fired as Kirk was answering a question about “transgender shooters, mass shooters.”

The event was the first of approximately 15 scheduled across the country. The FBI stated, “We are doing everything we can to find him, and we’re not sure how far he has gone yet, but we will do our best.”
