Fatal Collision on Accra-Kumasi Highway Leaves Several Feared Dead

A fatal collision between a sprinter passenger bus and a tipper truck at Nkawanda No. 2, located on the Accra–Kumasi highway, has left several people feared dead.

Eyewitnesses at the scene reported seeing multiple victims, including women, lying motionless on the road, while pieces of both vehicles were scattered across the crash site.

Although the official cause of the crash has not yet been determined, some frequent travelers on the route have attributed the incident to the severe potholes that have been a persistent problem on that stretch of road in recent months. They claim that the road’s poor condition has been a significant factor in the rising number of accidents in the area.
