eTranzact Ghana Limited, a licensed Enhanced Payment Service Provider (PSP), has launched the XCEL Ghana mobile app to revolutionize how individuals manage their GH-Link prepaid cards and make digital payments.
This interactive app serves as a comprehensive platform, giving users seamless control over their GH-Link cards while offering various convenient financial services.
At an event in Accra on September 20, 2024, Dr. John Apea, CEO of eTranzact Ghana, highlighted that the XCEL mobile app aims to connect traditional and digital payment methods. He stated, “Users can continue using their physical GH-Link cards at ATMs and POS terminals while also accessing numerous digital payment options directly through the app.”
Dr. Apea pointed out that the app allows users to transfer funds easily between bank accounts, mobile wallets, and XCEL accounts, enhancing their financial management. He emphasized the “Pots” feature, which helps users allocate funds for specific goals, making it easier to save for emergencies or special purchases.
Additionally, the app includes a “Give” feature, enabling users to donate to charities directly, either as one-time gifts or recurring contributions. Dr. Apea noted, “With XCEL, users can quickly top up mobile airtime and data plans, pay utility bills, and manage entertainment subscriptions like DStv and GOtv. Bulk payment options also streamline salary and vendor payments for businesses.”
Valentine Obi, Group CEO and founder of eTranzact Global, the visionary behind the XCEL app, highlighted the marketplace feature, which offers a secure platform for buying and selling a range of products and services, from electronics to fashion.
He emphasized the app’s convenience and flexibility, allowing users to manage GH-Link cards and digital payments in one place. “XCEL supports various payment methods, letting users handle finances through mobile wallets, bank accounts, or both,” Obi explained. He also assured users that the app prioritizes security with advanced encryption technology to protect personal data and financial transactions.
“We believe this will transform the ecosystem in Ghana. With a regulator that supports digital transformation, the market is ready. Young developers can leverage XCEL to deploy their own solutions,” Obi stated.
Moreover, the XCEL Ghana app will provide users with the latest news and job opportunities, keeping them informed about the employment market.
Designed to streamline financial services for both individuals and businesses, XCEL Ghana seamlessly integrates with GH-Link prepaid cards, offering the advantages of both physical and digital payment options. With a focus on convenience, flexibility, and security, XCEL aims to simplify financial management across Ghana.
Since its inception in 2006, eTranzact Ghana Limited has established itself as a leader in electronic payments and aggregation solutions, providing tailored payment solutions to banks and businesses of all sizes throughout Ghana.
