The Council of Ministers of the Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS) has held an extraordinary session in Abuja, Nigeria.
Held on October 9, 2025, the session attracted Ministers from across the sub-region.
The Ministers deliberated on institutional matters, particularly recruitment within its institutions.
On the sidelines of the meeting, Kalilou Sylla was sworn in as the new Commissioner for Economic Affairs and Agriculture, succeeding Massandjé Touré-Litsé of Côte d’Ivoire.
