Anthony Joshua’s driver has appeared in court on ‘reckless driving’ charge following the December 29, 2025 accident on the Lagos-Ibadan expressway that killed two of his friends, Sina Ghami and Latif “Latz” Ayodele.
Adeniyi Kayode, the 46-year-old driver appeared today, January 20, 2026 at the Sagamu Magistrate Court in Ogun State where his trial is taking place.
Kayode been charged with four counts, including dangerous driving causing death, reckless and negligent driving, driving without due care and attention, and driving without a valid national driver’s license.
The court granted Kayode bail in the sum of ₦5,000,000 with two sureties. The case was adjourned to February 25, 2026.
The accident along the Lagos-Ibadan Expressway, was reportedly caused by excessive speed and wrongful overtaking.
Professional boxer Anthony Joshua survived the accident but it claimed the lives of his personal trainer, Latif Ayodele, and strength and conditioning coach, Sina Ghami.
