The Queen of Denmark, Mary Elizabeth, has visited Nigerian President, Bola Ahmed Tinubu, in at the Aso Villa.
The visit which took place yesterday seeks to among other things strengthen bilateral ties between Nigeria and Denmark.
President Tinubu was joined by his wife, First Lady of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, Senator Oluremi Tinubu, as he welcomed the Danish Queen to Nigeria.
The visit provided a valuable opportunity to deepen the longstanding partnership between the two nations, President Tinubu said.
According to him, discussions between him and Queen Mary Elizabeth “were warm, constructive, and reflective of the mutual respect and shared values between Nigeria and the Kingdom of Denmark.”
He added that “Her Majesty’s visit stands as a mark of goodwill and renewed commitment to collaboration, particularly in areas such as climate action, renewable energy, maritime security, and inclusive economic development.”
Nigeria, he says, remains committed to strengthening bilateral ties that promote peace, prosperity, and sustainability for its people and for future generations.
