Chelsea Confirm João Félix’s Permanent Transfer to Al-Nassr

Chelsea Football Club have finalized the permanent transfer of João Félix to Al-Nassr, where he will join Cristiano Ronaldo in Saudi Arabia. The Portuguese star was initially close to rejoining his boyhood club, but the deal with Chelsea fell through, paving the way for Al-Nassr to secure his signature with a superior offer in their pursuit of the Saudi Pro League title, bolstered by Ronaldo’s contract extension.

The 25-year-old featured in 20 matches across all competitions for Chelsea last season, scoring seven goals. Despite not cementing a regular role during his two stints with the Blues, Chelsea have recouped the full amount spent on him. Al-Nassr paid €50 million for Félix, consisting of a €30 million base fee and €20 million in potential add-ons.

Félix returned to Chelsea permanently last summer from Atlético Madrid for £46.3 million, following a loan spell at Stamford Bridge in 2023. The Blues have generated £135.7 million from player sales this window, with a net spend of £82.3 million.
