Cardi B is pregnant with her first baby with boyfriend Stefon Diggs, four months after confirming their relationship in June. The Grammy winner also shares three children with her ex, Offset.
“I’m excited, I’m happy. I feel like I’m in a good space. I feel very strong, I feel very powerful that I’m doing all this work. But I’m doing all this work while I’m creating a baby,” she said.
Cardi B is out here drippin’ in finesse as she prepares to become a mom of four. The “Up” rapper confirmed the pregnancy during an appearance on CBS Mornings on Sept. 17.
“I’m having a baby with my boyfriend Stefon Diggs,” Cardi told Gayle King, later noting she’s due ahead of her Little Miss Drama tour in February. “I’ve been putting in all this work, but I’m doing all this work while I’m creating a baby.”
While in the middle of the rollout for her album Am I The Drama?, out Sept. 19, Cardi emphasized her excitement.
“I’m happy. I feel like I’m in a good space,” she continued. “Me and my man are very supportive of each other. We like in the same space in our careers. You know what it is? I feel like we’re really great, we’re really the best at what we do.”
Although she hadn’t told her parents prior to the on-air interview, Cardi added, “I felt like can I just say it on my own time, I’m not hiding.”
The 32-year-old also credited Diggs for her strength amid the pressures of releasing new music.
“He just makes me feel safe and very confident,” she said. “And it makes you feel like you could take over the world.”
