A school bus transporting 83 students and five teachers from the Wesley Grammar School in Ghana has been engulfed by fire.
The incident happened near the Kasoa Tollbooth in the Central Region of the country.
Fortunately, all the students and teachers managed to exit the bus few moments before it was completely burnt.
No student or teacher was reported injured. A video from the incident showed students jumping from the bus through its windows.
Africa Publicity understands that the students and their teachers were traveling to Ngleshie Amanfro Senior High School to participate in a sporting event when the fire incident occurred.
A sports teacher of Wesley Grammar School, Richard Boafo, recounting the incident, says “Once we saw the smoke, we had all students move out without delay. Thankfully, all 83 students and five teachers escaped safely. Unfortunately, the bus was completely destroyed by the fire.”
