Burna Boy’s US Shows Cancelled After Alleged Low Ticket Sales

Afrobeats megastar Burna Boy has been forced to cancel two upcoming U.S. tour dates, including tonight’s scheduled performance at The Armory in Minneapolis, after fans allegedly refused to purchase tickets.

The cancellations of the No Sign of Weakness tour dates came abruptly, with Ticketmaster announcing the last-minute change on its website. The affected shows include tonight’s performance on November 28, 2025, in Minneapolis, and another concert scheduled for December 1, 2025, in Chicago.

Controversy and Public Criticism

While the tour organizers failed to provide a specific reason for the cancellation, the development comes amid intense public criticism directed at Burna Boy following a recent stage controversy.

Earlier this month, a viral video showed the singer ejecting a couple from his Denver concert for allegedly sleeping during his performance. The incident sparked widespread backlash, which intensified after the singer, while reacting to his critics during an Instagram live session, said “he only wants supporters who buy his tickets and not fans.” It was later reported that the woman who was ejected was grieving a recent personal loss.

The cancellations suggest a potential backlash from ticket buyers and mark a rare commercial setback for an artist who has otherwise enjoyed immense global success in recent years.
