Brazilian Bodybuilding Champion Kadu Santos Dies Suddenly at 31

Brazilian bodybuilding champion Kadu Santos has died suddenly, leaving fans, friends, and fellow athletes in shock and mourning.

The 11-time bodybuilding titleholder and two-time overall Muscle Contest regional winner was widely admired for his dedication to fitness, discipline, and passion for the sport.

Santos, who had over 13,000 Instagram followers, regularly shared his intense workout routines, training advice, and motivational posts. He also often featured his fiancée, Sabrina Wollman, a personal trainer he began dating in August 2021 and proposed to in July 2025.

At the time of their engagement, Sabrina wrote a touching message:

“I love you with all my heart. I admire you and I’m very proud of what we have become together throughout these years… I choose you every day to share this mad life with you.”

According to the Daily Mail, Kadu’s funeral took place in Novo Hamburgo, near Porto Alegre, following an emotional wake attended by family, friends, and fellow athletes.

Fellow bodybuilder Diego Wiegand paid tribute to Kadu, saying:

“Today, heaven is certainly celebrating. Kadu was completely out of the ordinary — incredible as an athlete, coach, and even more so as a person. It’s very difficult to accept, but you’ve left a legacy and will always be remembered. I love you, brother.”

Fans also flooded social media with tributes, with one writing:

“Rest in peace, champion. Many people took inspiration from you.”

His training centre, PowerCT, described him as “an example of dedication, discipline, and companionship, leaving a mark of inspiration among colleagues, teachers, and friends.”

While Sabrina has not issued an official statement, she shared details of Kadu’s funeral service on her Instagram page.

Kadu’s sudden death comes months after another Brazilian bodybuilder, Wanderson Da Silva Moreira, 30, died unexpectedly after collapsing on stage during a competition in Campo Grande earlier this year.
