BASKETBALL MEETS CULTURE: Hennessy and Basketball Africa League to Host “BAL IN” Accra, a Unique Celebration of African Sports and Creativity

Accra, Ghana – December 15, 2024 – The Basketball Africa League (BAL) and Hennessy, the world-renowned cognac brand, are set to host “BAL IN” Accra, a thrilling basketball, lifestyle, and entertainment event, on December 27 at the Bukom Boxing Arena. This highly anticipated event will bring together African sports, culture, and creativity, showcasing the continent’s vibrant talent and flair.

The event, presented by Hennessy, will feature a celebrity basketball game curated by AfroFuture, an African-focused media management company, with players boasting BAL experience, local artists, and entertainers. Fans can register to attend the event at (link unavailable).

According to BAL President Amadou Gallo Fall, “We are excited to return to Accra for our second ‘BAL IN’ experience, building momentum ahead of our milestone fifth season. This event will showcase and celebrate African sports business and creative industries on the global stage, in line with the BAL’s commitment to shining a spotlight and driving economic growth for the continent.”

The event is part of the BAL’s long-term strategy to connect and engage with fans across the continent and beyond, including the African Diaspora. Previous “BAL IN” events have been held in Abidjan, Cote d’Ivoire; Berlin, Germany; Lagos, Nigeria; Paris, France; and Salt Lake City, U.S.

The 2025 BAL season is set to tip off on April 5, 2025, in Rabat, Morocco, and will feature the top 12 club teams from 12 African countries playing 48 games in four cities. Fans can register their interest in tickets to games in all four markets at (link unavailable)
