Lagos, Nigeria – The vibrant city of Lagos came alive on December 20th and 21st, 2024, as Ballantine’s blended Scotch whisky hosted the highly anticipated “Even In The Day” Festival at Muri Okunola Park. Drawing thousands of music lovers, the festival celebrated the rich sounds of Amapiano, Afro-house, EDM, and deep house, delivering two unforgettable days of music, creativity, and shared experiences.
Day 1: Soakers Experience and Show-Stopping Performances
The festival’s opening day transformed Muri Okunola Park into a thrilling water-themed wonderland. Dubbed the Soakers Experience, the event featured giant water slides, splash zones, water cannon wars, and balloon fights, offering attendees a playful escape from the norm.
The night’s energy soared with captivating performances, headlined by Skyla Tylaa, who debuted an unreleased track from Wizkid’s Morayo album. Hyped by Poco Lee and highlighted by a surprise appearance from Wizkid himself, Skyla’s performance became the night’s most memorable moment.
International DJs Vigro Deep, DJ Khalifa, Yosa, and DJ Latitude kept the crowd moving with pulsating Amapiano beats that echoed throughout the park.
Day 2: A Haven for Electronic and House Music Lovers
Day 2 catered to electronic and house music fans with standout performances by Tobi Peter, DJ Khalifa, Six7even, and Sounds of Ace. The festival also featured the Interactive Playoff Stage, where rap battles, dance-offs, and even bull rides added a layer of excitement, turning the festival into a hub for creativity and engagement.
Closing out the night, DJ Consequence and Blak Dave delivered electrifying sets that left the audience in awe and capped the festival on a high note.
