Arsenal Set to Sign Real Madrid Forward Rodrygo for 2025/26 Season

Arsenal Football Club are reportedly set to sign Real Madrid forward Rodrygo as they aim to bolster their squad ahead of the 2025/26 season.

Reports from Spain indicate that Real Madrid and their manager Xabi Alonso are open to selling the 24-year-old forward this summer. Rodrygo has struggled to secure a regular starting spot since Carlo Ancelotti’s departure from the club.

Rodrygo made his first appearance for Real Madrid in 53 days during their opening Club World Cup match, a 1-1 draw against Al Hilal on June 18, 2025, but has played less than 30 minutes under Alonso in their last three matches. This limited game time led to an agreement between Rodrygo and Ancelotti, now Brazil’s national team manager, to exclude the winger from Brazil’s squad for matches against Ecuador and Paraguay last month.

The player’s father and agent, Eric Goes, has publicly expressed frustration over Rodrygo’s situation at Real Madrid, where he has been sidelined at times due to the prominence of Kylian Mbappé, Vinícius Júnior, and Jude Bellingham.
