Nollywood actress Angela Okorie has publicly apologized to fellow actress Mercy Johnson and politician Senator Ned Nwoko for recent insulting comments she made about them.

Taking to Instagram, Angela addressed Mercy Johnson directly, saying:

“I am human, and when my emotions take over, I speak from the heart, often saying things as they come to me, especially when I feel hurt. Once I’ve expressed myself, I tend to move on, but I now realize that my words—whether spoken from a place of pain or not—were hurtful. Recent events have shown me I could have handled things better. I feel truly sorry for how my words may have affected you, Mercy. Your mental health is so important, now more than ever, and I would never wish you or your family harm. That’s not who I am, and you know it. Please find it in your heart to forgive me.”

Angela also extended an apology to Senator Ned Nwoko, husband of actress Regina Daniels, whom she recently labeled as too old during a social media clash with Regina. She described Ned Nwoko as Regina’s “ancestor.”

“Furthermore, my sincere apology goes to Senator Ned Nwoko. I realize now that my response, though triggered by unprovoked attacks, came at your expense and in an unpleasant manner. I never intended to disrespect you. In fact, I remember participating in your political campaign at ZuleZoo and attending your family’s annual children’s carnival when invited. These memories remind me that peace is far better than conflict. I deeply regret my actions and I am truly sorry.”

Angela’s public apology marks an effort to mend strained relationships and encourage reconciliation.

But the apology notwithstanding, Angela Okorie says she has been the target of lies, betrayal, and unwarranted attacks, but chose to forgive those who hurt her.

She wrote: “I’ve also been the target of lies, betrayal, and unwarranted attacks. Bloggers have spread false information, and people have created videos filled with blatant lies. The betrayal has been overwhelming, but I forgive everyone who has hurt me and leave them to face their own conscience”.
