Transfer expert Fabrizio Romano announced on Instagram on June 5, 2025, that Saudi Arabian club Al-Hilal have submitted a bid for Nigerian striker Victor Osimhen, whose future is a focal point for football fans following his eventful 2024 summer transfer saga. Al-Hilal believe Osimhen aligns with the vision of their new manager, Simone Inzaghi, formerly of Inter Milan, who is familiar with the player from their Serie A days when Osimhen played for Napoli.
Osimhen’s loan at Galatasaray will end after the 2024/25 season, where he played a pivotal role in securing the Turkish league and cup titles, scoring 26 goals and providing five assists in 30 league matches. Napoli have set a £75 million buy-out clause for the striker, but his high wages have reportedly hindered potential moves to top European clubs, who are also interested.
