President Nicolas Maduro has warned that an aggression against Venezuela could trigger a “catastrophic war” for all of Latin America and the Caribbean.
His warning comes weeks after the Trump administration announced a $50 million reward for his arrest.
In a post on his official Facebook page on Wednesday, September 24, 2025, President Maduro said “The Executive Committee of the State Council is in permanent session to address threats that violate international law, prompting growing rejection at the UN and around the world. Therefore, we will not allow the peace of Venezuela and the Caribbean to be threatened.”
Sharing key facts from this meeting, he says “An aggression against Venezuela could trigger a catastrophic war for all of Latin America and the Caribbean.”
According to him, “The public powers established in the CRBV guarantee peace, defend stability and security of Venezuela.”
He added that “The impressive patriotic fervor that moves Venezuelan society today demonstrates its great mobilization capacity.”
President Maduro noted that the first decree guarantees that the Venezuelan nation, in every man and woman, will have the support of the forces of the State to deal with external threats and aggression, in defense of the sovereignty of Venezuela and the Caribbean.
He says in the face of this aggression, the public powers must be activated and demonstrate that they are up to the circumstances, adding that it is a historic and unique moment for our nation!
“We must be legally prepared to respond. In any case, Venezuela will rise.”
“With faith in Christ and the support of the people, we are in a firm fight against lying, threatening and immorality. “As it was once said: “”We are the way, the truth, and the life,”” according to him.
