Africa’s Music Elite To Gather in Zanzibar for Trace Awards 2025

The picturesque island of Zanzibar is set to host the crème de la crème of African music at the Trace Awards 2025, taking place on February 26th. This prestigious event celebrates the rich diversity of music from Africa and its diaspora, featuring a stellar lineup of artists from over 30 countries across Africa. 

The Trace Awards 2025 will showcase the continent’s top talent, with icons like Rema, Diamond Platnumz, Yemi Alade, and Fally Ipupa set to take the stage. The awards will feature 24 categories, spanning a wide array of genres, from afrobeat and dancehall to gospel and RnB.

Tanzania will be strongly represented, with Diamond Platnumz, Alikiba, and Zuchu among the performers. Other countries with notable representation include Ivory Coast, the Democratic Republic of Congo, Nigeria, Kenya, Senegal, and South Africa.

The event promises to be an unforgettable night of music, emotion, and spectacular performances, with the renowned choreographer Sherrie Silver responsible for the electrifying choreography. Silver, known for her work on Childish Gambino’s “This Is America” video, will bring her exceptional talent to the 2025 Trace Awards.

The Trace Awards & Summit 2025 will take place in Zanzibar from February 24 to 26th, with tickets available now via the ‘Senjaro’ app. This event is a must-attend for music lovers and industry professionals alike, celebrating the diversity and richness of African music.
