This Valentine’s season, Bolt and Silverbird Cinemas are turning city traffic into date-night wins. As couples across Accra prepare for one of the year’s biggest nights out, Bolt is partnering with Silverbird Cinemas to reward 100 riders with complimentary movie experiences encouraging Ghanaians to “break up with their cars” and choose a smoother way to arrive.
On Valentine’s Eve, riders who complete a Bolt trip to Silverbird Cinemas at Accra Mall before 6pm and are among the first arrivals will enjoy a free movie experience, transforming an everyday ride into part of the celebration.
Valentine’s Day is one of Ghana’s most anticipated social moments, from cinema dates to dinner plans and spontaneous link-ups. Yet for many, traffic congestion and parking stress often set the tone before the evening even begins.
By making the journey part of the reward, Bolt is positioning itself at the centre of the night’s movement, helping couples show up relaxed, on time and ready to enjoy the moment.
“Valentine’s is about shared experiences and meaningful moments,” said Adega Murbe, Bolt’s Regional Marketing Manager, Africa. “Through our partnership with Silverbird, we’re making it easier for people to focus on the celebration rather than the stress of traffic or parking. When the journey is smooth, you arrive relaxed, and the ride naturally becomes part of the date.”
The initiative reinforces Bolt’s broader role in urban life, enabling connection and helping the city move smoothly during its most important moments.
