The Ghana Health Service (GHS) has initiated investigations into allegations that an accident patient was abandoned in a bush at Gomoa Ojobi in the Central Region by a hospital’s ambulance staff, only to reportedly be found dead later.
GHS in a statement dated Friday, June 14, 2024, cited a media report that claimed the patient was on admission at the Trauma and Specialist Hospital in Winneba and after her relatives failed to show up, she was conveyed in the hospital’s ambulance and left in a wheelchair at Ojobi where she claimed to be her hometown and was later found dead.
