At least four kids between the ages of one and two have been killed in a fire outbreak in Mayfair, a suburb of Johannesburg in South Africa.
The fire outbreak was reported on Monday morning, May 19, 2025. The cause of the outbreak as at the time of filing this report, was unknown.
Spokesperson of the Johannesburg Emergency Services, Robert Mulaudzi, said investigations were underway.
According to Mulaudzi, “Our fire investigative team are here on site. They will be investigating what might be the cause of the fire incident. But from our side we are continuing to plead with our residents to ensure that they use the heating devices safely during this winter season.”
