16-year-old broken-hearted girl burns boyfriend’s room in Ghana after breakup

 

A Ghanaian teenage girl, Rebecca Nyomi, who could not stand heartbreak has set her boyfriend’s room on fire after they broke up. She has therefore been arrested by police and was in custody as at time this report was being filed.

She burnt down the room in the New Nkusukum suburb of Mankessim in the Central Region of Ghana.

Rebecca is believed to be a hairdresser. The fire incident happened following a confrontation at her boyfriend, Samuel Agbobli’s workplace.

Rebecca had visited Samuel at his cornmeal shop to ask him for “chop money” [feeding fee], but he reportedly told her that their relationship was over. Samuel is said to have accused her of cheating, and she reportedly pleaded with him to forgive her but he refused and drove her away from his shop.

Feeling heartbroken, Nyomi reportedly went to Samuel’s room, using a spare key to enter, and subsequently set the room on fire.

After setting the room on fire, she reportedly returned to her workplace, and Samuel was informed about the fire incident through a phone call, and by the time he reached his room, all his belongings were completely destroyed.
