Following Uzoma Day Omenka’s sterling performance in far-away Malaga, Spain and Toronto, Canada, he has bagged the ABEDORC Awards of Excellence.
Reacting to the honour, Uzo said: “I am happy for this award and I thank the organisers for the recognition. It means more responsibility in churning out more quality songs which I am not short of. I am also aware of the fact that I have performed less in Nigeria but I have it at the back of my mind to do that soon. I have to fulfil other obligations. I will be in London soon for another event after performing at the Aso – Ebi festival. There is another one in Mexico and another in Australia and other places. My fans should please bear with me for now as I will be coming to Nigeria for more engagements.”
The CEO of Miracle Day Music, is not resting on his oars after the death of the late reggae icon, Majek Fashek whom he managed until his death.
Though Uzo, as he is fondly called, kept his music career on hold to rejuvenate the late reggae icon, however, soon after the demise of the great legend, Uzo picked up his guitar and began to do what he knows how to do best.
So far, he has released many singles which are taking him round the world and representing the country well.
