East African nation, Kenya, is expected to host the Africa-France Summit in 2026.
The year 2026 will historically mark the first time the summit – established in 1973 – will be held outside of France or a Francophone African nation.
France President, Emmanuel Macron and Kenyan President, William Ruto, made the announcement during the 79th United Nations General Assembly in New York, USA.
The Africa-France seeks to among other things, assemble Heads of State and Government, civil society representatives, and private sector leaders to drive reforms of global financial institutions and governance systems.
