World football governing body, FIFA, has banned the President of Cameroon Football Federation, Samuel Eto’o, from attending Cameroon matches for six months.

According to FIFA, the ban is as a result of “offensive behavior and violations of principles” on the part of Mr. Eto’o, a former Barcelona, Inter Milan and Chelsea striker.

In a statement, FIFA stated that “The ban imposed on Mr. Eto’o prevents him from attending men’s and women’s matches involving [Cameroon] teams of all categories and age groups.”
