Details are emerging about a 20-year-old donor of President Joe Biden, Thomas Matthew Crooks, who shot former President Donald Trump at a campaign rally in an apparent assassination attempt.
The Trump’s would-be assassin, Crooks is reported to have donated to President Biden in the past.
Crooks, who was killed by a US Secret Service sniper, has been identified as a 2022 high school graduate.
He opened fire on ex-President Trump in Pennsylvania on Saturday, July 13, 2024.
Crooks is alleged to have fired at least eight bullets from a rooftop just 130 yards from where Mr. Trump was speaking on stage in Butler at 6:15pm. Mr. Trump says his ear was pierced by a bullet.
Following the shooting, Crooks was named by US Secret Service as the gunman. Photos of him wearing glasses, braces, and an American flag t-shirt in a yearbook headshots emerged on Sunday morning.
He is said to have graduated from Bethel Park School District.
