Ghana: Greater Accra Region NHIA Partners Chief Imam Office during 2024 Maulid Festival

 

As part of it continued efforts to strengthen stakeholders’ engagements and participation, the Greater Accra Regional Office of the National Health Insurance Authority (NHIA) of Ghana on 3rd October 2024 paid a courtesy call on His Eminence, the National Chief Imam at his Fadama residence in Accra.

The visit was to convey Management’s support to his outfit by enrolling members of the zongo communities unto the Scheme as well as sensitizing the public on the benefit of the NHIS during this year’s Maulid Festival. The delegation was led by Elliot Apreku Asante, the Regional Operations Manager, and was accompanied by Vanessa Dennis, Felix Togbenya, and Osman Seidu.

Excited by the gesture, the Chief Imam through his interpreter Hon. Mohammed Bashir, the Assembly Member of Fadama, expressed his profound gratitude and appreciation for the gesture extended to him and the zongo communities by the NHIA. A special prayer was said by the National Chief Imam to the delegation and Management for God’s guidance and direction to continue to serve the good people of Ghana, especially the vulnerable in society.
